Kentucky Fails to Get “Fair Share” of Obama Economic Stimulus
Kentucky received $3 billion from the Obama Administration’s $787 billion economic stimulus package. We have 6 representatives in the House of Representatives, which is 1.38% of the total number of representatives. If the stimulus money were distributed in proportion to representation in the House, then Kentucky’s “fair share” would have been $10.9 billion. We are $7.9 billion short of our “fair share.” Where did this money go – to what state or to whom?
It is time for us to take a closer look at the socialist “shell game” that we play in America. Do Kentuckians send more money to Washington than we receive or would we be better off just taking care of ourselves?
